I was inspired after fishing in the Tongariro River. My image captures the silver, green, light pink or red hues. When they spawn, their coloration darkens, and their red scales deepen in colour.

This art work was hand formed from cedar body, with sheet metal for the head, tail & fins and painted with Matisse acrylic colours.
